I will admit that along with clothes, Facebook is my addiction. It’s one of the first websites I click on. I believe Facebook can be addicting but it’s quite harmless. At least I’m not addicted to cigarettes or alcohol. I have roughly 300 “friends” because I accept people based only if I know them. I refuse to accept a person that I don’t know because I’m not a “friend counter” or someone who accepts people because they want to see how many they can get. I am very cautious with everything that I post. Even though my family knows what I do, I decided to hide my statuses from them. There are multiple dangers to Facebook, the main one being statuses. If the security isn’t set then anyone can view any status. My friends can only view my statues. People can post where they are or what their doing. I personally believe employers shouldn’t be able to view potential employees pages. What they do outside of the office is none of their business. I view Facebook as another way to connect with my friends especially from high school. I can still talk with friends that have either moved away or went to a different college.

Fashion Marketing
For now, my major is marketing with an emphasis on fashion. I chose fashion marketing because it has a business/ fashion twist. I get the best of both worlds by doing something I’m good at. I have always had a business mind and I can’t stop shopping. With marketing, I would promote campaigns and determine the customer’s needs and turn that into product, which would be clothes. I believe I have the skills that are qualified for this career. I am organized and when needed, I can have strong leadership skills. If I wanted to have a career in the fashion industry, I need to get out of the state of Ohio. My ideal place to live would be New York City with all the fashion houses or Chicago. I want to live in a big city full of stores and people. If I could work for any company it would be Bergdorf Goodman. Only located in NYC, Bergdorf Goodman is a luxury department store filled with designer’s clothes and other products. If I couldn’t work for Bergdorf Goodman, I would like to work for a small boutique store. Even though I have changed my mind multiple times, hopefully marketing is the major for me.

Television = babysitter
If we could unplug all the TV’s, our children would grow up in a different world. We wouldn’t have to worry about kids becoming over weight, independent issues or educational problems. Since my mom was a single parent and working a full time job, I wasn’t allowed to go outside by myself. TV was the only think I had until my mom was finished with her work. If we unplugged the TV’s, America probably wouldn’t be known as the “Fattest” country. Video games are mostly the problem because they can become addicting. And our parents provide us with this luxury, because most parents rely on TV as a babysitter.
Even though there can be educational shows, I personally learned everything I know from hands on experience; from going on field trips with my school or learning things from my mom. Watching TV shows should be allowed but only in moderation.
Children are learning everything from TV shows, the good and the bad. With mostly reality shows, parents shouldn’t trust what their kids are watching. Children are at their most vulnerable stage in life and can be influenced by anyone.
Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec
Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec was born in southern France and was the last in the line of an old aristocratic family. At the age of twelve, Toulouse-Lautrec broke his left leg and at fourteen his right leg. Because the bones didn’t grow back property, he was deprived of a normal physical life. Due to this, Toulouse-Lautrec lived completely for his art. He began drinking heavily and by the 1890s the drinking started to affect his health, ending in his death. I believe the Purpose of this painting reflects Toulouse-Lautrec view on the world and his own life. The bottle and glass of wine is referring to his own alcoholic problems. The woman staring off is probably thinking of their life and how depressed it is. The Genre is alcohol abuse since the piece is called “The Hangover”. The Audience is anyone who enjoys looking at Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec paintings. I believe the Stance reflects his own life and how he sees it. The piece is called “The Hangover” and is and oil painting which is the Media.
